This version of Daytona Championship Circuit Edition
is dated roughly a month prior to its release.
While most of the tracks are pretty much identical to retail, the
Desert City track has a couple of small differences.
*The main menu uses a completely different font.
*'Section lap' option is on by default.
*The
key config uses the white pad variants (screen 3)
*There's no music during replays.
*The 'enter your initials' screen (after gaining a record) has the
characters Z-Y-X-.. instead of A-B-C-.. (screen 15)
*The Sonic wall at the 777 speedway starts building up
after you've passed the slot machine. (roughly a second
later
than retail, screen 5)
*The four pylons
near the last corner of the National
Park Speedway track are missing (screen 7)
*The 'left turn'
plates (screen 10) on the Desert City track are different.
(Also see screen 11).
*The large yellow
TGB spraycan billboards near the final corner of the Desert
City track are missing (screen 12)
